* This coverage area of the ISO CGL policy is one of the most misunderstood in P/C Insurance. What really is an 'insured contract'? What is the difference between the indemnity and hold harmless agreement? Learn to decipher the difference between a limited, intermediate and broad form indemnity agreement, and how different state's anti-indemnity laws impact their validity. Be able to identify important restrictive endorsements commonly found on CGL policies in both the standard and excess market. Agreeing to hold a third party harmless usually means additional liability limits are needed by the indemnitor. Explore this complicated subject and walk away with a new understanding of an age old topic.
